The Yamunotri pilgrimage shrine is well situated at an altitude of about 3,165 meters above sea level. This shrine is devoted to the Hindu goddess Yamuna. The Gangotri shrine is the next destination which is located at an altitude of over 3,042 meters above sea level which is devoted to the Hindu goddess Ganga. Further you have to visit the Kedarnath shrine which is situated at a height of 3,581 meters above sea level. Finally, you reach the beautiful and the sacred shrine of Badrinath which is present at an altitude of over 3,133 meters above sea level and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
