Auli, in district Chamoli of Uttranchal is well known for its snow grounds. When we go from Joshimath, the road reach in an open field after the long forest. This is the field, called Auli, it is always covered by snow during December to February and then start here Skiing season.

Auli is well connected to all major cities of India. Tourist can take bus or train for Rishikesh, from Rishikesh they can take direct buses for Joshimath. The distance is around 500 Kms. from Delhi, from Rishikesh 253 Kms., from Dehradun 295 Kms


By Air: The nearest Airport is Jolly Grant (Dehradun).


By Train: The nearest railway stations are Dehradun and Haridwar.


By Road: It is just 13 Kms away from Joshimath. The State transport buses and private buses regularly run between Joshimath, Rishikesh, Dehradun and Delhi.
