Chopta is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state and it is also known as "Mini Switzerland". You will find dense forest of Kedarnath Wild Life Sanctuary which is full of alpine and temperate trees. Major attractions of Chopta Tourism also include 41 prominent peaks including Meru-Sumeru, Chaukhamba, Ganesh parwat, Bandar poonch, Trisuli, Neel kanth, and Nanda Devi to name a few.

You can identify more than 551 species of birds plus 121 species of big size mammals in Chopta. It looks beautiful with Atrimuni fall and gentle alpine grassland slops. You can not miss on watching the Grass land patches (Bugyal/ Meadows) and the small streams, and rivulets. Do not forget to visit the Deoria Tal which is perched at an elevation of 2438 meters above sea level. This lake holds pristine water which is responsible for creating a magical world.

Gopeshwar is another wonderful tourist attraction as far as Chopta tourism is concerned. You need to drive about 39 km to reach this place. You will love to come to this place again and again. It is advised to drive a little more to the Kanchula Korak Musk Deer Sanctuary. It is just 7 km away from Chopta. It is quite popular for breeding musk deer’s. Last but not the least interesting place to visit in Chopta is the Ukhimath located at a distance of 31kms. This place is known as the winter seat of Lord Kedarnath. Chopta tourist destination is just awesome.
