Abbott Mount is a beautiful hamlet situated at an altitude of about 7000 feet in the Champawat district Uttarakhand. This hamlet has everything that a tourist desires for. You will have a great view of the snow capped cliffs dedicated to popular Himalayas. This mount is in its full glory. It is a hidden picturesque that needs good time to get explored. This destination has a serene, salubrious and tranquil environment. Lohaghat is a famous town located nearby Abbott Mount at a distance of 8kms. Abbott Mount is a perfect tourist destination for trekking, photography as well as bird watching. When you will come to this place you will get great relief from the city’s hustle bustle. The spectacular trails at this place are worth your time. Pine and Deodar forests are available to have a complete natural view. You can visit this place throughout the year but it is advisable to avoid the rainy season because of landslides and road blockages. 

You must explore the attractions of Abbott Mount. The Mayawati Ashram is quite famous. Spirituals are fond of this ashram. It also provides lodgings and board to the visitors. You will have an awesome time at its small museum and a library. Then you have the nearby town Lohaghat that has been mentioned above. It is located in the Kumaon region at 1745 mts of elevation. Its mythological history is really interesting. During the summer season you can see this town covered with the state flower of Uttarakhand “Burans”. It is also known as Rhododendron. 

The next place to visit is the Vanasur KaKila perched at a height of 1,859 mts above sea level. You can reach this place after travelling 9 kms from Lohaghat town.  7 kms has to be covered by bus and the remaining 2kms has to be covered by foot. As per belief, this place is known to be the capital of demon Vanasur who was well defeated by Lord Krishna. You should also get some time to visit the Pancheshwar attraction. It is popular for the Temple of Chaumu. The fair at this temple is lovely. Chaumu is religious and is worshiped in the form of the protector of animals. You should have nice time at Abbott Mount
